The TV Boy

Canti the medical robot goes by many names - Angel of Fire, Pirate Lord Adamisk . . . but above it all he's a combat robot, delivery boy, outfield catcher, and a mystery to everyone since he never utters a word . . .

Lord Canti is one of my favorite characters in FLCL. But, as Im typing this, im about to watch the 6th and final episode of Fooly Cooly, so correct me if i make any mistakes in this description.

I drew this picture in record time - start to finish in about five hours. The background combines two photos, both emulating scenes from FLCL - a giant iron (medical plant) on the top of a hill, and a girl on a yellow Vespa (Haruko). . .

What else is there to say? If you haven't watched FLCL yet, you're missing out on one of the undiscovered delights of the modern age - from the genuses at Gainax who brought you Evangelion and Mahoromatic.

Im temped to draw Haruko and her Vespa next, or maybe Eyebrows . . . But until then, just enjoy this picture, and savor the instant fun in six episodes that is FLCL . . .
